9 kHz to 14.0 GHz, in real time and in the field
The OWON HSA3140-R is a handheld real-time spectrum analyser covering 9 kHz to 14.0 GHz — enough for X-band radar, satellite links, point-to-point microwave backhaul and every band below them. Rather than sweeping the band one slice at a time, it digitises a 100 MHz span continuously, so any event lasting 6.25 µs or longer is captured with 100% probability of intercept instead of falling between sweeps.
At this frequency there is no tracking generator and no vector network analyser — the HSA3140-R is a pure analyser, and the RF input is a 2.92 mm connector rather than N-type. What it does bring is reach: 14.0 GHz in a 4.7 kg handheld, with the same 100 MHz real-time engine, the standard 20 dB preamplifier, −165 dBm/Hz DANL, GPS track logging and the 8-inch multi-touch screen.
Nothing gets past it
A swept analyser looks at one slice of the band at a time and loses whatever happens while it is looking somewhere else. The HSA3140-R watches 100 MHz at once and catches any burst longer than 6.25 µs — every time, not on average.

GPS map & bearings
A GPS receiver, directional-antenna input and gyroscope log position, route, level and antenna bearing on a map on the instrument — so a site walk becomes a triangulation.

14.0 GHz in a 4.7 kg handheld with a 2.92 mm RF input, a 20 dB standard preamplifier and 1 Hz resolution bandwidth — microwave measurements taken where the equipment actually is.
