Power Meters
Two-channel digital power meters for single- and three-phase AC/DC measurement, with 16 parameters, 63rd-order harmonics analysis and RS232/SCPI data logging.

Professional OWON power meters category introduction
The OWON OWH9800 series digital power meters are available from OwonTechnology.eu with EU shipping and full manufacturer warranty. Two models are offered — the OWH9811 for single-phase measurements and the OWH9813 for three-phase measurements — both with a second AC/DC channel for simultaneous dual-channel power and efficiency testing. Choose by the number of phases in your test setup: single-phase for adapters, chargers and mains-powered products; three-phase for motors, drives and industrial equipment.
- Single-phase testing: Choose the OWH9811 for single-phase AC equipment — power adapters, chargers, lighting and general mains-powered loads where one phase is tested at a time.
- Three-phase testing: Choose the OWH9813 for three-phase equipment — motors, variable-frequency drives, industrial machinery and three-phase power-distribution analysis.
- Harmonics and THD: Both models analyse harmonics up to the 63rd order — use when THD, harmonic content or compliance pre-screening is required alongside standard power measurements.

Power Meters from OWON
The OWON OWH9800 series are two-channel benchtop digital power meters for single- and three-phase AC power analysis. CH1 (rear panel) handles AC line measurement at 3–600 V / 0–20 A; CH2 (front panel) adds AC/DC capability at 0–1000 V / 0–20 A. With both channels active the instrument measures input and output power simultaneously and calculates conversion efficiency — making it well suited to evaluating switch-mode supplies, power adapters and variable-frequency drives.
Sixteen measurement parameters are available in a single view: voltage, current, active power (W), apparent power (VA), reactive power (var), power factor (λ), frequency, crest factors, peak values and total harmonic distortion. Harmonic analysis extends to the 63rd order with a 2.8 kHz bandwidth. Energy integration (Wh, Ah) supports consumption and efficiency testing. The 3.95-inch TFT shows a live trend waveform; RS232 with SCPI and Modbus protocols enables remote monitoring and PC data logging.

Questions about OWON Power Meters
Technical selection guidance for choosing the right instrument family and model.
What is the difference between the OWH9811 and OWH9813?
The OWH9811 measures single-phase AC on CH1, while the OWH9813 measures three-phase AC on CH1. Both models share the same CH2 (AC/DC), display, harmonics analysis and logging capabilities. Choose the OWH9811 for single-phase equipment and the OWH9813 for three-phase motors, variable-frequency drives or industrial loads.
What parameters does the OWH9800 series measure?
Both models display 16 parameters simultaneously: voltage (V), current (A), active power (W), apparent power (VA), reactive power (var), power factor (λ), frequency (fU), voltage and current crest factors (CfU, CfI), peak values (Upk, Ipk) and total harmonic distortion (THD). Energy integration in Wh and Ah is also available for consumption testing.
Can the OWH9800 series measure harmonics and THD?
Yes. Both models include harmonic analysis up to the 63rd order with a 2.8 kHz bandwidth. This is useful for THD measurement, harmonic distortion characterisation and compliance pre-screening on switch-mode supplies, inverters and non-linear loads.
How do I log data from the OWH9800 to a PC?
The OWH9800 series includes a standard RS232 interface supporting SCPI and Modbus protocols, with baud rates up to 115200 bps. Connect via RS232 and use any SCPI- or Modbus-compatible application to log measurements, set parameters and control the meter remotely.
