OWON XDS3062A: 60 MHz, 2 channels, 8 / 12-bit ADC, 1 GSa/s, 40M record, 75,000 wfms/s, 8-inch display. Optional generator, multimeter and battery.

OWON XDS3062A · 60 MHz · 2-channel n-in-1 oscilloscope

60 MHz, 8 / 12-bit and a bench full of instruments in one box

The OWON XDS3062A is a dual-channel member of the XDS3000 “n-in-1” family: 60 MHz of analogue bandwidth, a switchable 8 / 12-bit ADC, 1 GSa/s of real-time sampling and a 40M record length behind an 8-inch 800 × 600 display. It captures up to 75,000 wfms/s, so short-lived faults show up instead of being averaged away.

What turns it into a whole bench is the module bay. The same chassis can be ordered with a 25 MHz 1- or 2-channel arbitrary waveform generator, a 3¾-digit multimeter with data logging, a Wi-Fi module for phone and tablet control, a capacitive multi-touch screen, a VGA + AV output and a 13,200 mAh battery for floating and field measurements. A frequency counter, FFT, waveform maths and four digital filters are part of the standard firmware, serial triggering and on-screen decoding for RS232, I²C, SPI and CAN come as factory-fitted decode kits, and SCPI plus LabVIEW put the XDS3062A straight into an automated test rack.

XDS3062A at a glance

An 8-bit scope shows you 256 vertical levels. The XDS3062A switches up to 12 bits — 4096 levels — so ripple on a rail, noise on a sensor line or a small signal riding a large offset stays readable instead of being lost in the quantisation.

Key features

What the XDS3062A gives you

8 / 12-bit switchable ADC

Switch the ADC between 8, 12 bits from the menu. Higher resolution trades sample rate for vertical detail. Vertical sensitivity runs from 1 mV/div to 10 V/div.

75,000 wfms/s capture rate

A fast acquisition engine redraws up to 75,000 wfms/s. The 40M record holds long captures at full sample rate for intermittent faults.

Trigger and decode real buses

Edge, Video, Pulse, Slope, Runt, Windows, Timeout, Nth Edge and Logic triggers as standard. Add the decode kits — RS232 + I²C + SPI as one, CAN as a second — and you get bus triggering and on-screen decoding too: enough to debug an embedded board without a second instrument.

Built to be automated

USB host and device, LAN, Trig Out (Pass/Fail), PictBridge printing and an optional VGA + AV port. SCPI and LabVIEW support make the XDS3062A straightforward to drive from a PC or an existing test rack.

Ideal for

  • General electronics design, service and repair on a space-limited bench
  • Power-supply ripple, sensor noise and small signals on large offsets, in 12 or 14-bit mode
  • Embedded and automotive buses: RS232, I²C, SPI and CAN
  • Teaching and demonstration benches (optional VGA + AV output)
  • Field and floating measurements with the optional battery pack

Typical measurements

  • Rise/fall time, overshoot and timing with 30+ automatic measurements
  • Spectrum checks with FFT and FFTrms, plus low/high/band-pass and band-reject digital filters
  • Long searches for intermittent faults across the 40M record
  • Stimulus-response testing with the optional built-in generator
  • Voltage, current, resistance and capacitance with the optional multimeter module

Modules you can build into the XDS3062A

These are factory-fitted options ordered with the instrument. Tell us which you want and we quote the exact build — the generator comes as a 1- or 2-channel version.

25 MHz arbitrary waveform generator

1-channel or 2-channel

A built-in 1- or 2-channel arbitrary/function generator: 14-bit, 125 MSa/s, 2 mVpp – 6 Vpp, 8K waveform length, sine, square, ramp and pulse plus user-defined arbitrary shapes.

3¾-digit multimeter

factory-fitted option

A 4000-count digital multimeter inside the scope: DC to 1000 V, AC to 750 V, current to 10 A, resistance to 40 MΩ, capacitance, diode and continuity — with data logging.

Wi-Fi module

factory-fitted option

Connect the scope to a phone or tablet over Wi-Fi for remote control and live display of the measurement results through the OWON app.

Capacitive multi-touch screen

factory-fitted option

Replaces the standard 8-inch LCD with a multi-point capacitive touchscreen — pinch to zoom the timebase, drag cursors and swipe through menus.

VGA + AV port

factory-fitted option

Mirrors the display to a monitor, projector or classroom screen — the usual choice for education and demonstration benches.

Serial decode kits

factory-fitted option

RS232, I²C and SPI decoding as one kit, CAN decoding as a second: trigger on and decode bus traffic directly on the waveform.

Li-ion battery pack

factory-fitted option

3.7 V / 13,200 mAh rechargeable pack for floating and field measurements — roughly 2.5 to 3.5 hours of use per charge depending on model.
