The OWON OWH67B is a bidirectional programmable DC power supply that combines a precision source and a regenerative electronic load in a single 2U, rack-mountable instrument. Operating across a wide range of up to 60 V and ±120 A — ±1800 W of source or sink power — it switches seamlessly between supplying and absorbing energy, so one unit can both drive a device-under-test and pull it back down. For battery, e-mobility, renewable-energy and automotive test, that source-and-load integration replaces two separate instruments with one.
Across both directions the OWH67B holds tight, repeatable accuracy. Output is specified to 0.05%, with 10 mV / 10 mA setting and readback resolution and load regulation of ≤0.03% in constant-voltage mode and ≤0.05% in constant-current mode. Low ≤80 mVp-p output noise, a fast ≤5 ms dynamic response and modest temperature drift keep results clean and stable as your device-under-test changes state, while a 3.95-inch colour TFT display presents set and measured voltage, current and power at a glance.
Beyond conventional source and CC/CV/CR/CP load operation, the OWH67B is built for real-world emulation. Seven high-fidelity battery characteristic models let it behave like a charging or discharging battery, while built-in photovoltaic simulation — including EN50530 and Sandia SAS profiles — reproduces the behaviour of a solar array for inverter and MPPT testing. Full digital control with SCPI support over LAN, RS485 and USB makes it straightforward to fold the instrument into automated test systems and standard 19-inch rack setups.
Safety and integration are engineered in. Comprehensive over-voltage, over-current and over-power protection guards both the supply and the device-under-test, and a built-in bleed circuit ensures no dangerous residual voltage remains at shutdown. Housed in a compact 2U chassis compliant with standard 19-inch cabinets and weighing around 12 kg, the OWON OWH67B is a versatile, space-efficient foundation for battery, photovoltaic, automotive and general R&D test benches.
