150 V / 20 A / 200 W precision load in half a rack
The OWON OEL8511 is a single-channel programmable DC electronic load rated at 0–150 V, 0–20 A and 200 W continuous power. It sinks current in four static modes — constant current, constant voltage, constant resistance and constant power — and its CC dynamic mode switches between two programmed levels at up to 5 kHz, making short work of load-transient testing on power supplies, batteries, chargers and DC–DC converters.
With 1 mV / 0.1 mA readback, a programmable current slope from 0.01 to 2000 A/ms and full protection (OVP, OCP, OPP, OTP and reverse voltage), the OEL8511 is precise enough for the R&D bench and robust enough for the production line — and SCPI remote control over RS232 or USB drops it straight into an automated test system. All in a compact half-rack 2U chassis with a 3.9-inch TFT display.
Built to stress what you build
A standard-voltage load with the resolution to see millivolt sag and the speed to slam the current at 2000 A/ms — so your supply, battery or converter meets its spec before your customer tests it.
What the OEL8511 does
Four static modes
CC, CV, CR and CP with a 0.05 Ω–7.5 kΩ resistance range and 10 mW power-setting resolution — plus short-circuit simulation in CC, CV and CR.
5 kHz dynamic mode
Two programmable current levels with T1/T2 timing from 0.1 ms to 50 s and rise/fall slope from 0.01 to 2000 A/ms (min. rise time 20 µs) for transient testing.
Fully protected
Over-voltage, over-current, over-power, over-temperature and reverse-voltage protection guard both the load and your device under test.
SCPI remote & parallel
RS232 and USB device interfaces with SCPI for automated test; link up to 10 units over RS485 (except CV mode) for up to 4 kW of load power.
